*When looking for a vendor that is "green" - make sure they are mentioning their green practices on their website and in your 1st visit.  Also - just because the vendor uses fair trade or green products, it does not make that company "green" per se.  Make sure they are giving back to the community and the environment!  Being a green wedding professional means so much more than a complicated marketing scheme!  Ask questions like: Are you buying local products, does your company donate time, money or services to non-profit and environmental organizations?  Are you carbon-offsetting?  Each wedding professional will have different ways of providing green products and services - they key is asking about it and seeing what they say!
